The following primarily is focused on our bars in Street Whores and at Gutter Trash Alley. However, some of these techniques do work in the flagship bar.
Always have ‘Nearby Avatars’ open: Keep the ‘Nearby Avatars’ window open on your screen to monitor new arrivals.
Timing is key: When a new male enters the landing spot, wait for 30-60 seconds before taking action. This gives them a chance to settle in.
I️nitiate contact with a casual IM (not permitted in flagship): Send a friendly and attention-grabbing message to the new arrival. Keep the tone cheeky, flirty, or relaxed, but avoid being pushy.
If they don’t reply then let them go. All you have to do is get their attention, if it fails then it happens. Move on to the next.
Avoid a hard sell: Instead of immediately pushing for a sale, focus on building rapport and creating a comfortable atmosphere. Take your time and flirt with the customer subtly.
Get them to the bar: Once the initial contact is established, invite the customer to the bar area. Offer a welcome and guide them towards the drinks system.
Introduce the drinks system: Explain the drinks system and then show them the bar’s menu. Pique their interest.
Engage in conversation and flirtation: During their visit, make an effort to talk to the customer and engage them in conversation. Show genuine interest and use flirting as appropriate.
Communicate with other staff: Let your fellow staff members know that you have successfully engaged a customer. Inform them not to inadvertently pull the customer away from you. You can do this either in IMs or in the staff group, staff group is always the better option.
Create a sense of exclusivity: Make the customer feel special and appreciated. Offer them personalized attention and flirt.
Set a time limit: After approximately 20 minutes, assess the customer’s intention to make a purchase. If it becomes apparent they have no intention to buy, shift your focus to other potential customers.
Remember, the goal is to get them to hire you. Follow these steps and you’ll increase your chances of luring in potential customers and getting hired.
